Two JENSA proposals have been submitted to the NSCL PAC41. For more details, contact Kelly.
JENSA PI Kelly Chipps has been elected to the FRIB UOEC as an Operations Subcommittee member. Comments and suggestions on the NSCL/ReA3 operations, particularly with an eye toward the startup of FRIB, are welcomed.
The NSCL call for proposals to PAC 41 is out, and the ReA3 beam list is here. Please get in touch if you are interested in putting in a proposal for JENSA.
Some updates on the impact of SECAR. The cable trays above JENSA are going to be replaced and extended for SECAR, meaning that the cables run for E15232 need to be removed. The magnets will be installed soon as well, making it impossible to use the LSU position sensitive IC.
Hello, all - JENSA experiment E15232 has been officially scheduled for May 6-19, 2016. Please get in touch if you would like to participate.
Hello, all - the NSCL has just announced a call for proposals for PAC40; the beam list for ReA3 is available here: http://nscl.msu.edu/users/beams.html . The proposal deadline is the middle of February.
I suggest that you look through the list of beams and consider what proposals we may be able to submit for JENSA. Early in the new year, we can arrange a phone conference to discuss the possibilities.
Due to an issue with the CCF, the winter maintenance period has been moved up, and the ANASEN runs have been rescheduled for the spring. Because we are sharing some equipment with ANASEN, this also alters our schedule slightly. The discretionary beam will now be sometime in the later half of February. The RIB run is still tentatively scheduled for May.
